Three main strategies are adopted: Providing self-learning opportunities for small-scale fishers on asset repair and maintenance (1,000 fisheries households); Provision of assets to improve access to catch (1,000 fishery households); And build the capacity of the women and youth on entrepreneurial skills (1,000 women and young people from fisheries) and 500 business plan will be provided by financial grants of US $ 950). The project contributes to the rebuilding of livelihood opportunities for conflict-affected households in the fisheries sector in Yemen, as the current situation along the country’s coast line indicates a big loss within the fisheries sector due to increasing impact of the conflict and related socio-economic and environmental impacts. These impacts have led fishers to loss their vocations and income sources which afterward resulted on a chain of problems that affected directly the fishers in .Yemen where this proposed project intends to solve |
