Project Summary

Project Objectives

  • To document the needs and priorities of the targeted groups in the framework of the current peace process and in view of the upcoming peace agreements, recovery and reconstruction plans.
  • To enhance women and youth initiatives and enable them to carry out more effective peacebuilding activities at local level;
  • To engage local communities with a special focus on women and youth in the effective peacebuilding activities at local level;

 

Project Outputs:

  • Research paper is formulated to document the needs, priorities and any potential conflict issues of the targeted groups and their communities.
  • 15 women and youth representing 3 youth initiatives in Aden are actively engaged to enable them to carry out more effective peacebuilding activities at local level.
  • 15 women and youth in Aden knowledge and skills are increased on Gender Sensitive Peace Building and on Community participation
  • 3 developed peace initiatives plans are granted and implemented by the women and youth initiatives and local councils and community leaders targeting at least 150 persons.
  • Communities are better oriented to reduce the levels of violence and their capacity to solve community problems is increased and they become peacebuilders.
