Art to Bridge Gender Gaps
Aims to raise awareness about gender-based violence, YLDF implemented Art to Bridge Gender Gaps in Sana 'a ,in partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the program was launched in November 2017 and was concluded in October 2018, To contribute to raising communities' awareness of gender-based violence issues through art and creativity During the program, the Foundation selected 45 young people with multiple artistic talents in painting, singing and poetry, Between the ages of 18 and 30, and their training in gender equity, with particular attention to gender-based violence. They gained qualitative research skills where they carried out their own research and found actual cases of gender-based violence. and also received art lessons, following which they developed 9 art projects on gender-based violence and trainees were enthusiastic and able to address social issues and provided critical messages, They raised awareness through their artworks, delivered 90 paintings, three songs, music videos and 16 poems, All concerned with the focus of gender-based violence, youth projects were presented in 5 different locations for art exhibitions, Including cafes and public centers, songs were shared on social media and reached hundreds of viewers and listeners, to raise knowledge creatively.
