With the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Youth Leadership Development Foundation (YLDF) concluded the 9th Youth Leadership Program (YLP9) on Thursday, December 21, 2023, in the cities of Hadhramaut - Sayoun and Taiz - Al-Turbah.
It is worth mentioning that the program engaged 50 young men and women in various topics related to sustainable development goals, gender equality, design thinking, communication skills, and emotional intelligence. These topics were carefully selected to equip the youth with knowledge and skills necessary to become effective leaders and contributors in their communities.
One of the main objectives of this program was to provide young men and women with practical tools, essential materials, and opportunities to amplify their impact and mobilize resources through the entrepreneurship pathway. By empowering them with entrepreneurial skills, we believe that these young leaders will be able to create sustainable solutions for their communities and contribute to economic growth.
We are proud to announce the emergence of four winners from this program. These winners have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, innovative thinking, and a commitment to making positive changes in their communities. They were selected based on specific criteria, and their projects range from promoting gender equality through educational initiatives to addressing environmental sustainability through waste management solutions.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to these winners for their outstanding achievements. We are confident that they will continue to inspire others and make a lasting impact on their communities.
We would also like to express our gratitude to all the participants, mentors, trainers, and partners who made this program possible. Your dedication and support have played a significant role in shaping the future leaders in Yemen.
With the conclusion of the 9th Young Leaders Program, we look forward to witnessing the continuous growth and success of these young men and women leaders. We remain committed to supporting youth empowerment initiatives that contribute to building peaceful and sustainable communities in Yemen.
