The third round of cash assistance distribution to 264 beneficiaries within the project "Emergency Food Security and Early Recovery" in Jabal Eyal Yazid and Raydah districts - "Amran"

The Youth Leadership Development Foundation (YLDF) aims to contribute to improving food security, resilience, and livelihood opportunities for vulnerable host and displaced families in the Jabal Ayal Yazeed and Raydah areas of Amran Governorate, Yemen. This is achieved through the Emergency Food Security and Early Recovery Project in Amran Governorate, Yemen, in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe(DKH) and with support from Caritas Germany.

The project's strategy revolves around cash and market-based interventions to provide immediate assistance to the most vulnerable and affected groups. By employing the Food for Assets/Cash for Assets (FFA/CFA) approach, the project will support rural communities in preserving and enhancing agricultural infrastructure, such as irrigation systems, soil conservation, water harvesting, and flood risk reduction. It will also provide temporary employment opportunities for 240 unskilled workers.

Small-scale farmers will receive guidance, training, and cash/voucher support for agricultural inputs. The project will also focus on rehabilitating and expanding household assets to increase income and diversify livelihood opportunities. The project targets the most vulnerable small-scale entrepreneurs, as well as internally displaced families.
