Today, Thursday June 8th, the final workshop for the Sustainable Opportunities for Livelihoods and Employment (SOLVE) project was held in the city of Mukalla. The project was implemented by the Young Leaders Development Foundation (YLDF) in partnership with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, and funded by the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund, in coordination with the Executive Unit for the Management of IDP Camps in Hadramout.
Assistant Governor for Youth Affairs, Fahmi Awad Ba-Dawaei, emphasized the importance of the project for displaced families who will be moved from relief to self-sufficiency, noting that these projects are among those that will contribute to achieving economic stability for displaced families.
For her part, project director Hanaa Muqbil confirmed YLDF's keenness to implement such projects, highlighting that the project targeted 195 women and girls through three different activities, including entrepreneurship, job skills and vocational training, and the distribution of professional kits to help them start their own projects.
