The Youth Leadership Development Foundation, in partnership with the United Nations Women's Agency and the Women's Fund for Peace and Humanitarian Affairs, launched on Wednesday, November 30, the first phase of the trainings of the Sustainable Livelihood and Employment Opportunities (SOLVE) project in Mukalla District, Hadramout Governorate
The project aims to strengthen the social economy of displaced girls and women to recover more quickly and sustainably from the ongoing economic crisis. In its first phase, the project targets 60 displaced women to train them in job skills
And 60 in entrepreneurship, and they will receive financial grants to start their own projects
It is noteworthy that the project will target, in its second and third phases, 75 displaced women and girls to build their capacities in vocational and technical skills, and 50% of them will receive vocational kits after training
The project is being implemented in coordination with the Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons Camps in Hadramout Governorate
