International Entrepreneurship Week 2022
The Global Entrepreneurship Week (November 13-20) of each year is an appropriate opportunity for entrepreneurs to present their business, attract supporters and financiers for these projects, and draw the attention of society to them. Based on social responsibility, the Young Leadership Development Foundation has carried out a number of activities and events targeting more than fifty young men and women in A number of Yemeni governorates
Business accelerators for emerging projects
This is the title of the webinar that was held on November 15, 2022 via the Zoom platform, and included more than 30 young entrepreneurs from Aden, Hadramout, Ibb, Lahj and Taiz
The webinar was attended by Dr. Kamal Tamim - a consultant and trainer in the field of project development for a number of civil society organizations - whose presence had a great impact and noticeable benefit among the attendees, who expressed the extent of their benefit and satisfaction with what was presented
The webinar reviewed the experiences and stories of successful entrepreneurs, such as Hamdi Shaher - founder of the Wajabat platform - who conveyed his inspiring experience, which began with simple and modest capabilities until it reached the provision of 1,000 job opportunities for young men and women inside Yemen
Hanan Abdullah - founder and owner of the Balloon World project - presented a role model for struggle, persistence and ambition to reach success and distinction, since her project is the first project to coordinate concerts in Sana'a. Simple, effortless and continuity
Counseling sessions and golden tips
The Foundation organized an event in the presence of 25 male and female entrepreneurs on November 17, 2022, in order to provide consulting sessions across 5 pillars that were prepared and equipped by the Foundation’s employees
Each corner (Human Resources_Financial_Marketing_Management) and Finance, in cooperation with Al-Kuraimi Bank, contained 5 entrepreneurs inquiring about the problems and obstacles facing their emerging projects and receiving advice on developing and advancing them
The participants expressed their happiness and gratitude for such consultations, which added a lot to them and corrected a number of misconceptions they had regarding management, marketing, human resources and budget preparation
The event concluded with the distribution of attendance certificates to the participants and coordinators, and the Global Entrepreneurship Week was accompanied by extensive media coverage on all the Foundation's social media platforms
